You should definitely disable automatic updates on ATAK & Meshtastic in the Play Store.

Chaos Koalas ATAK PreferencesStandard ATAK preferences file with optimized Meshtastic plugin settings. Put the file in /atak/config/prefs/ on your device and then import in ATAK via: Settings → Callsign and Device Preferences → Preference Management. Make sure you set the correct "Meshtastic Channel Index" in Settings → Tool Preferences → Specific Tool Preferences → Meshtastic Preferences
- Confirm the Meshtastic Android App is still v2.7.13 (disable auto-updates)
- Confirm the Meshtastic ATAK plugin is v1.1.40
Installation Notes
- Install ATAK-CIV loadout first before adding plugins
- In the ATAK menu, tap "VNS" and then tap "Manage Offline Regions" and download your region
- Meshtastic plugin requires a paired Meshtastic device
- Map packages can be large - download on Wi-Fi if possible
- Preferences file will overwrite your current ATAK settings - backup first if needed
